Jingshu is a believer in and practitioner of Mungerism, and devotes part of his career to carrying out the late Charlie Munger's admonishment that "the best thing a human being can do is to help another human being know more" through dedicated and sincere teaching at Babson College. Jingshu is also the founding partner of Broadsea Consulting since 2012, a high-end study-abroad education company with branches in Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Chengdu. Due to the outstanding results accomplished by the firm, Jingshu represented the firm to be interviewed by CCTV (the Chinese national TV) for the 70th birthday of China in 2019, representing small-to-medium businesses as a "Dream Chaser" in the field of education.

Academically, Jingshu graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a PhD degree in Institute for Data, System, and Society, specializing in leveraging data analytics and econometrics to understand the commodities structural market.

Professionally, Jingshu Zhang is a cycle & event-driven value investor. His investment approach attempts to combine a top-down (cycle of various scale ranging from global to country-specific, from industry-wide to corporate capital structure, and various one-time events) view with a fundamentals based, bottom-up value selection view. Upon graduation, Jingshu become affiliated with Ascent Investment Group, mostly focusing on Hongkong and US listed securities. Due to his outstanding investment performance, Jingshu was nominated a "Securities Star", and was a special columnist for the Red Journal, one of the prominent Securities Analysis journals in China which interviewed Charlie Munger, the late Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway.
Upon returning to the US in late 2021, Jingshu set up an investment advisory business named Atlas Capital of Boston the following year, and served as its Chief Investment Officer for over a year before merging his client accounts to serve the function of portfolio management at Dorfman Value Investments with his friend John Dorfman in Aug 2023, continuing to run an independent long-short strategy while participating in weekly investment committee meetings of the firm. Jingshu has been widely interviewed by prominent securities-related journals and channels including Bloomberg, Insights, Red Journal, Tiger, Brocade, Financial Times (Behind the Money Podcast), among others, and has more than 70,000 followers on Snowball, the largest equities online forum in China.
