Please join us this Crossroads session for a discussion on innovating at the intersection of Finance and Healthcare with guest speaker:Mr. Guale Valdez , President and CEO of Mattapan Community Health Center, where he has been a leader since 2010, originally serving as Chief Financial Officer. He oversees all aspects of the health center, working to provide top-quality care through innovation and a dedicated team. Mr. Valdez has a rich background in accounting and finance, with experience in both private and public sectors across various healthcare environments. He serves on multiple boards focused on healthcare, community involvement, and workforce development. This session will be moderated by:Dr. Mark Potter, Professor of Finance at Babson College, where he has been teaching since 1995. His expertise spans investments, corporate finance, behavioral finance, and alternative investment strategies. Dr. Potter has published extensively in prominent finance journals and has collaborated with various industries, including consumer services and high technology. His research has also been featured in major financial publications like the Wall Street Journal.Antoine Junior Melay, Executive Vice President at Pipeline with Purpose, a company focused on improving opportunities for highly qualified minorities in the corporate world. He also serves as Director of Experiential Education and a Lecturer at Emmanuel College. Mr. Melay has extensive experience in workforce development and has held various academic positions, including as a Diversity & Inclusion consultant at Babson College. He is actively involved in community and diversity initiatives, serving on several boards and committees, and is a dedicated mentor and advocate for leadership and economic development. He holds an MBA and BS in Corporate Finance & Accounting from Bentley University. Students attending this discussion with the panelists will gain valuable insights into the integration of financial expertise and healthcare innovation, equipping them with the strategic leadership skills needed to drive meaningful change in their future careers and communities.
