Marcos Vega Solano holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Costa Rica and a master’s degree in Agribusiness Management (UCR/Iowa State University). He is a DBA candidate at ADEN Business School.
With over 18 years in Costa Rica’s agribusiness sector, he has held leadership roles in cooperatives, financial institutions, and biodiversity projects. He was also a part-time professor at UCR and a consultant in agribusiness for organizations in Costa Rica and Honduras.
From 2001 to 2018, he was an Associate Professor at Zamorano University in Honduras, leading training programs and serving as Director of its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. His research focuses on family entrepreneurship, with published works in international forums.
Since 2018, Marcos has been the Executive Director of prendho/UTPL and a visiting professor at UTPL. In 2024, he was recognized as “Member of the Year” by Babson College for his contributions to the Babson Collaborative community.
