Semester Abroad
Spend a semester studying in France, Italy, Spain, or China. Immerse yourself in the rich cultures and traditions of another country, practice your intercultural communication skills, and build your global network—all while earning elective credits toward your degree. Electives Abroad
Learn how to conduct business at the global level with international entrepreneurs and leaders. The world is your classroom when you enroll in an elective abroad program. Offered during break periods, you’ll complete pre- and post-work and have the opportunity to enjoy seven to 10 days of international travel, all while earning three degree credits. Travel with Babson’s expert faculty, applying coursework in Entrepreneurship, Design Practices, Startupp/International Strategy, and Global Brand Management in real-world situations.
You’ll move beyond the typical tourist experience with:
- Faculty-curated cultural tours
- Exclusive company site visits
- Conversations and consulting opportunities with global business leaders
- Collaboration with students at universities around the world

MSEL Global Experience
A key learning experience of the MSEL program is to take part in an exciting international opportunity exclusively designed for the program. The Global Entrepreneurship Experience course provides the chance to work as entrepreneurial leaders in a global setting as you collaborate with a diverse group of innovators. Past excursions have included China, Chile, Israel, and Tanzania, among others.

International Consulting Experience
Join a team of international experts to tackle real-world consulting projects and collaborate on areas such as marketing plans, industry analysis, and business development. Immerse yourself in the culture, economy, and business trends. Connect with industry leaders, create client presentations, and build international work experience—while earning 3 credits toward your degree.
Opportunities range from hospitality to next-generation medical device companies, with students developing strategies for everything from capital funding to digital and social media and beyond.
Babson is recognized for international study abroad by the prestigious IIE Open Doors report. We rank no. 2 for the total number of students participating in education abroad, no. 1 for the number of students in short-term programs, and no. 2 for the number of students in mid-length programs (2019–2020). Additionally, Babson ranked No. 7 for number of international students (2020–2021).
Service Immersion Trips
Interested in traveling abroad to somewhere like El Salvador, Tanzania, or Guatemala during your winter or spring break? Noncredit Service Immersion Trips help you get involved with communities in need through projects like Habitat for Humanity or teaching high school students in the Babson Entrepreneurial Leadership Academy (BELA). Develop your leadership skills and foster civic engagement.
Babson Graduate Student Wins Prestigious Fulbright Grant
JerDrema (Dreme) Flynt M.Ed., MBA’22 was awarded the renowned Fulbright grant to teach English in South Africa. She also is launching her own venture, Growing Hands, a platform dedicated to serving Black and Brown people on their natural hair journey.
