Sharon Sinnott is a dynamic and accomplished professional with a proven record of success as an entrepreneur, administrator, educator, and speech consultant. She brings specialized teaching and consulting expertise in the field of corporate communication, with a focus on public speaking, leadership and managerial communication, persuasion, and nonverbal communication.
Sharon is the Director of the Babson Speech Center, where she spearheads efforts to improve communication skills among faculty, staff, and students. She teaches in Babson's undergraduate program and Executive Education and also facilitates workshops through various Blank Center initiatives. In addition, Sharon advises the Babson Debate Union and serves as the Faculty Representative for the Babson Hockey Team.
Sharon's academic contributions include serving as a contributing author to the communication textbook Communicating Well. Her excellence in the classroom has been recognized with multiple honors, including two Deans' Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Advisor of the Year, and a Yearbook Dedication.
Before her work at Babson, Sharon founded and led two successful ventures: Placements Plus and Sinnott School. Sinnott School, a non-profit organization, offered training and job placement programs for economically disadvantaged teens and adults, as well as corporate clients. Her innovative programs received widespread recognition over the school's 25 years of service. Sharon has also served as an elementary school principal, further demonstrating her versatility and leadership in educational settings.
Sharon holds degrees from Bryant University and Emerson College, and continues to inspire students and professionals alike through her dedication to empowering effective communication.
