Babson Collaborative Global Summit

The annual Global Summit brings together entrepreneurship educators from around the world to share best practices in pedagogy and advance thought leadership.

The summit provides optimal value for attendees through professional development content, exposure to host school and local ecosystems, excursions, and time for members to network, conduct business with each other, and socialize. The Summit is open exclusively to members of the Babson Collaborative, and is limited to three members from each school.

Alex Zapata Pérez

Alex Zapata Pérez

Universidad de Piura (Piura, Peru)

In 2025, Alex spearheaded a mentoring initiative across Latin America, engaging experts at six Collaborative member institutions who presented virtual workshops on finance, intellectual property, pitching, and scalable solutions. In 2026, he expanded the initiative globally. The program was designed to support students in the Babson Collaborative Global Student Challenge, but in the second year, all students from all Collaborative member institutions were invited.

In total, over the past two years, Alex brought together educators in eight countries (Argentina, Brunei, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, India, and Peru) and impacted over 200 students in 15 countries. Alex’s efforts are a wonderful example of our organization’s goal to promote collaboration, global engagement and innovation—and they demonstrate true entrepreneurial thought and action, and entrepreneurial leadership.

The 2027 Global Summit will be held in Almaty Kazakhstan, hosted by Almaty Management University
