Dean of the Undergraduate School

Dr. Poonam Arora is the Dean of the Undergraduate School and Professor of Management at Babson College where she brings a humanistic and student-first approach to educating the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and decision makers. Her academic career includes previous roles as Associate Dean at Quinnipiac University and Chair of the Management Department at Manhattan College.

Before entering academia, Dr. Arora worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, an investment banker at Citicorp Securities, and for the United Nations. These experiences inform her current research, which focuses on behavioral decision-making for triple bottom line sustainability, specifically how individuals manage trade-offs between immediate interests and long-term goals.

Dr. Arora holds a PhD in Psychology from Columbia University, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BBA from John Cabot University. Her research has received funding from the National Science Foundation and has published in various management, economics, and psychology journals.
