Steven DiVirgilio, CPA, is an adjunct professor in the Accounting and Law Division at Babson College, where he teaches accounting and brings a practitioner’s perspective to the classroom. In addition to his teaching role, Steven is the founder of a CPA firm based in Everett, Massachusetts, serving closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals throughout the Greater Boston area.
Steven has extensive public and private accounting experience, with a practice focused on tax planning and compliance, financial statement preparation, compilations, reviews, audits, advisory services, and accounting support for growing businesses. His client base includes companies in the manufacturing, technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical, professional services, transportation and logistics, not-for-profit, architectural, and engineering industries.
Steven earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Science in Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Massachusetts and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of CPA's, and the Massachusetts Association of Accountants.
Steven’s teaching approach is grounded in real-world accounting, tax, and business advisory experience. He is particularly interested in helping students understand how accounting information supports business decisions, entrepreneurship, financial reporting, tax strategy, and long-term business success.
