Celebrating our Spring 2026 Green-rated FME Ventures

Student Innovation Meets Measurable Impact

At Babson College, sustainability is embedded into how we think about business from day one. Through the Good Business Index (GBI), students in the Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME) course are introduced to third-party ESG reporting and certification. The GBI framework evaluates ventures on their ability to integrate environmental and social impact into their core business models—not just as an add-on, but as a driver of value creation.

This year’s Green-rated ventures represent the highest standard within the GBI. These student-led businesses have demonstrated exceptional performance across sustainability strategy, stakeholder responsibility, and impact credibility.

Out of 54 ventures this term, only seven achieved Green. Learn more about each Green venture and the unique ways they are redefining responsible business below.

What sets these ventures apart is their ability to integrate sustainability into their core business strategy, demonstrate real and credible impact, and align operational decisions with environmental and social goals.

The Green rating is not easily achieved. It reflects a level of rigor, intentionality, and execution that goes beyond traditional student business projects. These ventures represent the future of business—one where impact and profitability are not competing priorities, but mutually reinforcing outcomes.
