Babson CARES
Connecting Students to Support, Resources, and Care
You don't have to figure things out alone.
Babson CARES helps students navigate challenges that may be affecting their well-being, academic experience, or ability to succeed at Babson. Whether you're dealing with a personal situation, feeling overwhelmed, worried about a friend, or unsure where to turn, we're here to help.
Our team provides one-on-one support to students, helps identify next steps, and connects them with resources across campus and in the community.
Students often connect with CARES when they are:
- Navigating a difficult personal, family, or life situation
- Managing mental or physical health concerns
- Experiencing financial, food, housing, or other basic need challenges
- Looking for support communicating with professors or campus partners
- Concerned about a friend and not sure how to help
- Unsure where to start or what resources are available
If something is getting in the way of your success or well-being, we're happy to talk with you and help explore your options.
What to Expect:
Meeting with CARES is a conversation. When we meet, we'll take time to learn what's going on, listen to your concerns, and work together to identify what support might be helpful.
Depending on your situation, we may:
- Explore options for addressing barriers or challenges
- Help you create a plan for moving forward
- Connect you with campus or community resources
- Assist you in communicating with faculty or campus partners when appropriate
- Offer ongoing check-ins throughout the semester
Our goal is for you to leave our office feeling more informed, supported, and confident about your next steps.
Important to Know:
Babson CARES provides non-clinical support. This means we do not provide therapy, counseling, or medical care. We can provide students with more information about how to connect with clinical services like Babson’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), UWill, and/or Health Services.
Babson CARES staff are mandatory reporters and must report complaints of sex-based discrimination or harassment and gender-based misconduct to the Title IX Coordinator. We recognize some students may wish to receive confidential-support without having their experiences reported to Babson’s Title IX Office. Please see Bason's Confidential Resources on Campus List for more information about connecting with confidential support on campus.
Make an Appointment:
You don't need a "big enough" reason to meet with us. If something is making your time at Babson harder than it needs to be, we want to hear from you. Even if we're not the right office, we'll help you find the right place to start.
